National social media expert C.C. Chapman ’95 was the featured

speaker at a February 26 reception attended by more than 75

alumni in Norwood, Mass. Chapman focused his presentation

on the relationship between social networking sites such as

Facebook and LinkedIn, and their impact on businesses and

careers. This event was sponsored by Mike Lewis ’01 MBA.

Ice Time

Alumni and families enjoyed local hockey and fun in February

and March as they watched the Portland Pirates, Providence

Bruins, and Manchester Monarchs.

Efficient Energy

On March 12, the third “speed networking” event took place

at the Sheraton Framingham. The evening of fast-but-efficient

business and social networking drew approximately 110 alumni.

These events have been extremely successful, with more

than 300 alumni attending over the past four months.

City Shift

An April 2 presentation at the Framingham, Mass., headquarters

of TJX Companies addressed consumers’ shift from suburban to

city shopping. Speakers were TJX Vice President John Caban ’86,

Bentley Adjunct Lecturer in Marketing Mike Tesler, and Senior

Lecturer in Marketing and Business Projects Coordinator Ian Cross.

Superior Celebration

More than 100 alumni gathered to celebrate an early St.

Patrick’s Day — and “March Madness” of NCAA basketball —

at the Stadium Bar in South Boston. The event was hosted by

Bryan Brown ’02 and Shant Banosian ’02, branch managers of

Superior Mortgage Company. Be sure to mark your calendar

for the next Thirsty Thursday, slated for July 23 at Tia’s on

the Waterfront.
