Happy summer! The first half of 2009 has been busy and rewarding, with alumni visits and events all over the globe. Over the winter, our second international trip with President Gloria Cordes Larson brought Bentley to London, Geneva, Athens, Mumbai, Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. In January, the president was a keynote speaker at the first Women’s Added Value in the Economy (WAVE) forum in Geneva, where she was introduced by International Advisory Committee member Klaus-Michael Christensen ’89. (You can visit www.bentley.edu/alumni/international-alumni to see photos from the event.) Record numbers of alumni attended gatherings in Athens and Mumbai, and momentum continues to build as our international network expands.
I encourage you to connect, engage and keep in touch with the alumni community. As you know from reading Observer and the International Alumni Report, wonderful things are taking place at Bentley, from the PhD program — with an incoming class that is 50 percent international — to the International Summer Institute, now in its fifth year. And there’s much more to come, including the 2009 International Advisory Committee meetings this fall. For a full list of international alumni club and chapter contacts, go to www.bentley.edu/alumni/international-alumni/intl-chapters-clubs.cfm.
I look forward to hearing from you!
